Situated outside the village of Waltham near
Canterbury, 17th. century Yockletts Farm is in an Area of
Outstanding Natural Beauty over looking Yockletts Bank
nature reserve with its wonderful orchids, wildlife and
footpaths.
The farm itself is mainly laid to arable, once being hop
gardens, with the remains of an old twin kiln oast of years
gone by. We graze cattle on the gently sloping fields, with
plenty of easily accessible footpaths all around so you can
enjoy some of the most beautiful views in Kent. It is also a
wonderful area to cycle or horse ride.
Canterbury is 5 miles away, Ashford about 10 miles and the
Channel Tunnel rail link is about 15 minutes drive.
There are a number of excellent pubs within easy reach, one
being a high class French restaurant, a must for a
special occasion. There is also a post office and general
store with newsagent in Stelling Minnis village.

2012 Olympic Games
Stay at The Granary and visit The Olympics Games in London. Only 35 mins on the train from Ashford International Station to the Olympic Stadium.

Olympic Torch Relay
Arriving in Ashford on Wed 18th July and going onto Dover the same day. Then on Thurs 19th July heading on for Canterbury and on to Maidstone.

Bluebells in abundance during April within a short stroll of The Granary.
Wye Farmers Market on the 1st and 3rd Saturday in the month.
Elham ( near Canterbury) Farmers Market on the 2nd and 4th Sunday in the month.
Orchids
Yockletts Bank near Canterbury is probably one of the best sites for lady
orchid and there are also excellent colonies of twayblade,
common spotted, early-purple and fly orchids. The best time to
see them is from May through to late June.
